Scope and content

Providing an explanation of the Centenary celebrations proposal for a window in Slipper Chapel. Initially a plain window proposal but Bishop Clark proposed a new Annunciation window and the re-siting of the Assumption window, although the final decision lay with the Shrine Council with the support of the Guild's Council. Mr Alfred Fisher's design was selected and the Ransomers contributions make this gift possible. Surprised at the comments by the HCC on Mr Fisher's design. Offer to meet costs of redesign and restoration (Mr Clifford Durant advises this will be necessary). Need to complete the installation in time for its blessing by the Apostolic Nuncio. If the design is rejected, the Guild will withdraw it offer.
