Scope and content
Position with respect to the view of First National Bank. History of ownership of the Black Lion and a disappearing owner. The bank claims ownership of the land highlighted in red in the attached map. In about 1988, the bank advanced money for a development with 10 cottages but no parking. Times have changed and a planning application for such a development would likely fail. Also, land values have plummeted, however, the bank may sell to regain some of their investment but are not providing a figure. Valuation without a scheme is difficult. The bank is confident it can make a sale with vacant possession but would like to know what may be offered before they embark on Court action, etc. Suggest Fr Allen consider making an offer to stimulate a valuation and perhaps sale. Mr & Mrs Seiquence are the owners of the Black Lion Hotel from October 1991
