Biographical history
1981: Writing to Bishop Clark re Walsingham Eucharist
Born in 1932 in Reading, Berkshire. He was a Cardinal, Archbishop of Westminster and president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. He was made cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2001. Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation (on reaching 75) on 3 April 2009. Died in 2017 and is buried within Westminster Cathedral, London
