No longer a resident of Beccles - hence tenders his resignation as Diocesan representative on the Catholic Scouts & Guides Advisory Council.

Fr Thompson has been invited to represent (for the 8th year) the Council at the meeting of the Municipal Education Authorities held in Bournemouth. Fr Middleton is taking a great interest in Gorleston, making visits and visiting the sick. The full dress parade of the Boy Scouts & the Girl Guides was impressive. Fr Thompson is invited to give the address to the massed Scouts and Guides at the War Memorial on St George's day. He was also invited to become an Examiner of the Boy & Girls in the Borough competing for scholarships to Grammar and High School. He mentions all this so the Bishop knows the various activities of his clergy.
