Postcard showing March Church with a cleric stood by doorway. It is possible to make out the word "Allen" on the last line of the noticeboard - perhaps it is Fr Louis Allen in the image.

Postcard showing a school boy group with a priest sitting in centre. Alice Askew was a photographer in March from 1916 until she retired in 1953. It is possible that this is a photograph of the boys at Fr Clare's school in the 1920s. He did require a particular type of uniform to be worn.

Michael Ward is unhappy about the method of accounting. Walsingham is doing very well but has a large volume f money which needs more sophisticated accounts. Who is accountable? Walsingham has to be made extra diocesan. Impress on Fr Connelly that you would like to see the accounts and go through them to see what Ward is worried about.
Ward, Michael R W (1930-1995)Acknowledged the Norwich branch's gift of £92.53 for the Chapel at Oxburgh [Hall]. Such generous gifts enabled the replacement of the electrical system and lights. All this enables improvements in the Chapel - two years ago the inside was repainted; the stations of the cross were renovated and the floor of the sanctuary repainted. Always glad to receive requests to use the Chapel for Mass.
Bedingfeld, Mary MrsNorwich branch Walsingham can reserve the chapel but need to be clear on dates and times. 5 July impossible since a Shakespeare play will be on in the garden. Parking at the pub; priest can drive up to the chapel.
Bedingfeld, Mary MrsThanks for the donation received from the Norwich branch of the Walsingham Association. Always good to know that you are coming and the chapel is bring used properly. On Saturday the new Bishop came to say Mass for about 100 children from all over the Diocese.
Bedingfeld, Mary MrsThe booking for the Chapel is in the National Trust diary - be delighted to see Norwich Walsingham Association here. Someone will unlock it for you. If problems ring Mr Rooney (Property manager). It is unlikely we will join you.
