Fr Johnson providing price and details for a lean-to extension of similar size to the sacristy and office. Fr J considers this to be "nibbling at the problem" of seating and other accommodation.

Ketterer, John Joseph Rev SJ (-1973)Writing to Mr Sauvain. Raising the issue of St Mary's school accommodation. Managers cannot find additional space. Would LEA permit a temporary wooden structure on the present site? Can the new premises at Gaywood site be brought forward from the 1961-2 plan? Also, how much of the site is reserved for a Catholic School?
Ketterer, John Joseph Rev SJ (-1973)Concern about accommodating children at the school (space for 90 - 126 on roll).

The architect is making the application to the Ministry. Mr Sauvain & Mr Oak have accepted the possible storey. Took the man from the Ministry to see the new wing at Swaffham Convent which interested him since he has to consider a school with accommodation at Wymondham.
Sammons, Francis Ethelbert Clowes Rev (1925-1975)The architect will provide sketch plans and then draw up the actual drawings. Likes the idea of a shutoff altar and sanctuary. Need to update the signatories for the bank account as Fr Ketterer is no longer here.
Sammons, Francis Ethelbert Clowes Rev (1925-1975)Mr Sauvain agrees about making the foundations strong enough to take a possible storey over the classrooms. Have written to the architect, Mr Oak. Plans to open a separate account for the purpose of financing this project. Fr Brewer, Fr Baker and himself to sign. Need to ensure Fr Baker is Downham is involved.
Sammons, Francis Ethelbert Clowes Rev (1925-1975)200 may need accommodating in a year or two - but not practical politics now. The temporary measures of seven years ago are now intolerable - space is limited for equipment and storage - need some sort of moveable accommodation to give the Head a place to interview and work in. The Apostleship of the Sea is interested in St Mary's - it may also serve as a parish hall if they take it on. Though there may yet be a compulsory purchase order as the surroundings are demolished.
Sammons, Francis Ethelbert Clowes Rev (1925-1975)Meeting the architect on 3 December at 3.30 with his first sketch. Can Fr Brewer attend? Also will show plan to Mr Sauvain. JJK (Fr Ketterer) is in hospital after an op but has the log book still.
