Scope and content

Greetings for New Year and Christmas. The book "In God's Name" by David Yallop has triggered comments (e.g. the extract attached) which makes it difficult to promote Peter's Pence. Suggest to the Bishop that this topic may be a good subject for a Pastoral Letter. Visitation planned in September for the Ruby anniversary of the church in Wymondham.
Extract: "... believed the expose explicitly because of the overwhelming factual evidence." Sorry that the priest declines to read his copy. The letter refers to Vatican shenanigans, fraud and corruption not impacting on one's faith. Suggests that Robert Maxwell was a novice compared to the the Pope's (John Paul 1) right hand man. Gives an example of a friend refusing to give to Peter's Pence whilst the author gives the smallest possible coin.
