Thorn, Peter MrIncome in the parish has increased - so, not living on a "pittance". Willing to accept position as a curate so that the parish priest from Swaffham does not have to travel to Downham. His weekly visit to the convent in Swaffham means he could easily report to the PP. Changes would be detrimental to this parish. Suggest that any priest free to officiate do so at Oxburgh instead. Not impelled to move; willing to stay.
Baker, Oswald Charles Rev (1915-2004)For last 3 or 4 weeks Fr Flynn has been at Oxborough and Fr Dnage[?] at Hunstanton. He went to Hunstanton for a wedding but became so ill he could take no part in it. He returned to Oxborough for Sunday but was unable to say Mass, which Fr Ketterer did instead.
Eeles, Charles Rev (1868-1926)Received the mass intentions and the dispensations - 5/- fee enclosed. Severe cold from downpour in Lynn Pilgrimage and was wet through. Congregations from Hunstanton (25), Lynn (150) and Swaffham (50) went to Oxborough for their Procession, greatly pleasing Sir Henry and Lady Bedingfeld.

Bedingfeld, Mary MrsNorwich branch Walsingham can reserve the chapel but need to be clear on dates and times. 5 July impossible since a Shakespeare play will be on in the garden. Parking at the pub; priest can drive up to the chapel.

Bedingfeld, Mary MrsThe booking for the Chapel is in the National Trust diary - be delighted to see Norwich Walsingham Association here. Someone will unlock it for you. If problems ring Mr Rooney (Property manager). It is unlikely we will join you.
Bedingfeld, Mary MrsAcknowledged the Norwich branch's gift of £92.53 for the Chapel at Oxburgh [Hall]. Such generous gifts enabled the replacement of the electrical system and lights. All this enables improvements in the Chapel - two years ago the inside was repainted; the stations of the cross were renovated and the floor of the sanctuary repainted. Always glad to receive requests to use the Chapel for Mass.
