              "Anglia: The Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk has awarded an ecumenical project in Newmarket her 'Certificate of Merit' for its work to bring food parcels to needy families.               Story 1: "A student at Notre Dame High School in Norwich has been named as 'World Changer of the Year' for her efforts in helping young people with their mental health during the pandemic. Year 10 student Chili Tozer won the Pearson accolade after teaching herself to use an electric sewing machine in lockdown with the help of her grandma on racetime." Story continues.

              Swaftham did not allow all the Covid-19 restrictions to dampen their Christmas cheer as they raised money for Uganda. A Christmas jumper design competition was one of many events which the school arranged in the lead-up to the Nativity. Won by Kimmie, the competition attracted a variety of artistic jumpers for the children to model. Money raised has been donated to the Sisters' mission in Uganda.". Story continues

              "East Anglian priest Fr Mike Brookes recently gave a radio interview about his work as a chaplain at the West Suffolk Hospital, and how it has changed in the face of the Covid pandemic. Fr Mike Brookes is relatively recently ordained priest; prior to joining the clergy he was a nurse for 25 years. That career has left him with great empathy for both the people he works with in the hospital and a developed understanding of the needs of patients and their loved ones." Story continues.

              "Eric St John Foti, a Norfolk Catholic entrepreneur and inventor, has died, aged 94. Sr Francis Ridler FDC pays tribute to a remarkable man Eric was a man of faith and someone who made things happen. With his wife Marion he raised eight children of his own and fostered another 24. He was born on 13th January 1926 and died on 4th January, just before his 95th birthday." Story continues.

              "Sr Thaya Moses OSB, manager of Montana Care Home in Great Barton has been awarded the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk's special Certificate of Merit for her work, and that of her team, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The award from Clare Countess of Euston, the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk and Bridget Mcintyre, High Sherift of Suffolk, was made in recognition of outstanding service to the community in Suffolk during the pandemic."               "Catholic priest who spent more than five weeks in critical care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn after contracting Covid-19 has praised the efforts of doctors and nurses. as well as two church ministers, for helping him to pull through. Fr Michael Stack from Coventry died twice and was on a ventilator for three weeks and in critical care for five weeks before he miraculously pulled through, astonishing the medical team with his recovery."               "Bishop of East Anglia, the Rt Rev Alan Hopes, celebrated the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the Catholic priesthood with a Mass at St John's Cathedral in Norwich on 4th December. Also celebrating priesthood jubilees, and concelebrating with Bishop Alan, were Fr Dick Healey (40 years), Er John Barnes (25 years) and Fr Luke Goymour (10 years).
