              "Fr Anthony Foreman, a retired diocesan priest, has published a book on the intriguing medieval history of Lidgate, the Suffolk village where he lives. Lidgate, which is in the Newmarket parish, boasts the remains of a Roman villa, a Norman castle and was the birthplace of John de Lydgate, the famous medieval poet and monk of Bury Abbey. He presented a copy of his life of St Edmund to King Henry V on his visit to the abbey." Story continues.

Fr Mike Brookes is relatively recently ordained priest; prior to joining the clergy he was a nurse for 25 years.               Writing from the Presbytery at Southwold. Going to Mundesley to be checked up - hopes the report will be good. been swimming twice a day - a bit fat. Dr Christopher Helsham is reported to have a dose of TB. Gossip has him almost buried or despatched to south of France. Reality is he is in a bungalow in Gorleston-on-Sea.

              "Fr Luke Goymour from St Thomas of Canterburv in Brandon has been arranging adoration and Benediction in the gardens of some of hIs panishioners. Not someone to be wrong-footed by Covid restrictions, Fr Luke has been taking the Blessed Sacrament to the homes of his parishioners, and blessing them after a short prayer time, either at the front door or In their garden. Some of his parishioners prepared an altar in their garden and he came to their back door for the ceremony. Fr Luke is pictured right with the Blessed Sacramentant and the garden shrine."

              "Fr Paul Spellman, from St Mary's in Ipswich, took up the challenge os walking 500,000 steps or more during Lent in aid of a Catholic charity.
