"Re 'How the EDP won the right to name cathedral fraudster' (EDP, October 26). It's hard to believe that nobody in authority at St John the Baptist Cathedral has apparently been called to account for the lack of supervision in the case of Rene Mugenzi who stole £220,000 whilst volunteering to be its treasurer." CorrespondentFr RA O'Brien enclosing a letter from the editor of the Universe which included a letter from Mr D H Smith of King's Lynn. As the letter is critical of the Bishop [Parker] it would be as well for him to reply. Fr O'Brien will respond to Mr Smith [draft not present].
Catholic Education ServiceCheque enclosed. Responding to an earlier letter [from the Bishop?] describes life as being both peaceful and hectic. A number of older sisters are in receipt of medical support e.g. Sr Mercedes.
