Writing to ask the Bishop that they meet to discuss the "strong rumour" that Mass at Hemsby will end after the next two weeks. Mentions his wife (Bridget who is on the Ecumenical Committee) and his sister (Sister Pia Buxton, IBVM, [1932-2010]). He and his family have been involved in Ecumenism and Roman Catholicism for many years; indeed his mother was largely instrumental in helping to build and found the small RC chapel-Mass Centre in Hemsby just after the war. Understands that the Augustinians are leaving, which is sad but no doubt there are good reasons. The congregation in Hemsby visit St Mary's in Yarmouth infrequently and he says they deserve better treatment.

Asks Fr Allen to investigate the complaint letter attached.
Fr Tony [Rogers] and Gary [Dowsey] were enthusiastic about their meeting with you. Bishop finds this encouraging.
Bishop is finding his schedule a bit busy and difficult to get control over for his own purposes - better to meet in in November?
Clark, Alan Charles Rev DD (1919-2002)Too much being hidden within the figures - not disclosing the real situation. Like to arrange a meeting with Ward and Connelly
Ward, Michael R W (1930-1995)Recording his appreciation of the effort to make the Pro-Nuncio's visit a marvellous success. Likes the idea of him closing the Martian Year and blessing the amenity block. the three of us to meet a long but regular intervals [to discuss religious support]
Clark, Alan Charles Rev DD (1919-2002)Mr A H Cox writing on behalf of the parish committee at St Peter's. Fr Tom confirmed his departure yesterday at their meeting. Naturally there is a concern for the community, which behaves as a parish even if it is not one. A resident priest has been a great advantage but if one cannot be found then they'd welcome the opportunity to talk to the Bishop about it.
ParishionerWill need to discuss with Vicar General and the Dean. Philip Shryane is a way for 10 days. Be patient.
