Allen, Louis Rev (-1931)Letter to Bishop supporting Mr Lockwood to rent be a tenant. 7s 1d is too much rent - Mr Ollard says this is so) suggests 6s 6d. The celebrated Mrs Pompery has returned, called, and will come back. Fr Freeland seems to e gaining strength as he writes in a very cheerful tone.

VariousRemembers watching his receding form from deck of SS Minneapolis. Interested to hear about 6 candlesticks which Fr Allen's congregation are buying. Asks to be one of contributors & encloses cheque. Hopes they will be worthy of altar, the givers & priest to whom they are given.

News of his Mission is encouraging. Wishes she could hear Mass there again. Proposes to give £2000 when she sells her property to help build Church of Our Lady & St Peter in March as memorial to husband. Has had offers for her land but not yet up to her price.
