There are regular, formal notices that the Bishop uses to inform or instruct his clergy for their awareness or action. There are also other ad hoc letters and notes about specific topics.

Await the conclusions from Fr Manley's group, Bishop's engagements are known in advance. DIO's job is to pester his office for information. If people are "bitchy" about the Bishop's ecumenical involvement, he cannot do anything about it. "I almost have a papal bull" to commission this ecumenical work both nationally and internationally. Suggestions from Press Officer at Anglia TV regarding the establishment of a Catholic Diocesan Press Office:
- Press Reception in Norwich, mid-day (to catch the deadlines); early in week (to catch weeklies) with Bishop news story
- Create a mailing list of all news outlets (some examples offered)
- Monthly information bulletin
- Contact numbers, etc.
- Bishops letters provided in advance but embargoed
- Photographs of clergy, etc.
