Has been to see Fr Vermeulen - signs are not good, he is in a bad way. Fr Banham is supplying at Gillingham Hall and will continue to do so unless he hears otherwise. "Silence gives consent (sometimes.)" he can get his dressing [for an open wound] done every day.

Kenyon, Mary Mrs (-1937)Fr Vermeulen is in hospital in Antwerp - no recovery from his paralysis yet. Rev Milo Pillot CRP [Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré - "Norbertines"] will be the new chaplain at the Hall - recommended by the Abbot of Postel [near Antwerp, Belgium]. Bishop may have heard of Fr Pillot from Prior Matthew Smith of Crowle. She requests faculties for Fr Pillot.

Currently at Stanbrook seeing her daughter who is a nun in the Abbey. Having spoken to Fr Campbell the notice to Fr Vermuelen has been withdrawn. However he has had a stroke, is in Beccles hospital, and it is too early for a prognosis. Arrangements for a supply at Gillingham Hall had been made.

Mary D'A-Kenyon asks for Fr Cyril Banham as supply (he has requested to do this) as Fr Vermeulen is going to Lourdes. Other priests who have been supply: Fr A Colvin SJ & Fr Leo Batley SJ. Encloses [not present] a memorial card for her daughter, Margaret. Her son Joseph's mental illness is not improving, would the Bishop remember him when at Lourdes?
