Thanks for your personal donation. Fr Clive Birch is now the Administrative Assistant at Walsingham; filled with hope for the future
Clark, Alan Charles Rev DD (1919-2002)Thanks Fr Kerby for the CAFOD collection. Bishop wishes he had had a word with the matron, she may have known John Marden. Advises Fr Kerby to do a good painting and repair job on the house as it is getting tatty.

Insurance damage claims categorised as "Storm Damage" but many cannot be so covered as the buildings are old or frail. Expense is relatively high not least since 4 pilgrimages have been cancelled. Bishop describes work done - new roof; refurnishing; maintenance and capital repairs. Hence Fr Rimmer's description is not wrong and the outgoings are not all covered by insurance. About to engage an architect to give a plan for the Slipper Chapel area, but, have to find £10,000 for the Chapel alone. If this elicits your [Mr R A Hood, Administrator, CAFOD] charity then I would be exceedingly grateful.
Clark, Alan Charles Rev DD (1919-2002)"After their summer parish lunch was cancelled because of Covid-19, the CAFOD group from St George's parish in Norwich cooked up the idea of a takeaway event, says Jane Crone." Story continues.

Graystone, Philip Rev SM (1921-2014)Fr Kerby forwarding CAFOD collection - deputy matron of Papworth contributed £100 cheque. Mentions visitation and thanks the Bishop for his hospitality. Hoping that Mgr Nicholl's address will appear in print to make it more easily digestible.

Bishop Clark will donate proceeds from the special collections to CAFOD as a gift to the "world of the young and developing churches". In a talk to East Anglia priests Mgr Vincent Nichols, general secretary of the Bishops Conference of England and Wales, urged priests to work with the poor in the inner cities and not jet off around the world - work with the poor to share in poverty.
