"Dear Fr Peacock, The dog cart will do very well. I shall arrive on Saturday at 4.30. I am willing to dine on Sat. at Mrs Sander's [?] if the dinner do [sic] not interfere with confession work. I will hear confessions on Sat. 8 to 9. I will say the first Mass on Sunday at 8.30. You need not erect a throne. Yr in J.C. +Arthur B of Npton"

"SPECIAL PROTECTION has been given to a church in rural Suffolk that until recently was cared for by the Benedictines of Downside Abbey. St Benet's Minster, Beccles, has been listed as Grade II* by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The listing, announced on 19 January by Historic England, means that the church is now protected, and will be eligible for government grants." Story continues

"A group of ten organ players from the Organ Society of Great Britain recently enjoyed a musical visit to Our Lady Star of the Sea parish church in Lowestoft. Having been frustrated by Covid disrupting performances over the past yeas, a group from the society visited our Lady, along with several other local churches, on 16th July to play and listen to the churches organs."
