A pair of new stained glass windows by craftsman Thomas Denny has been installed at St Felix Church in Felixstowe, following a bequest from a congregation member. When parishioner Marlene Strachan died last year she left a generous £10,000 bequest to pay for a stained glass window in the church, on the theme of The Divine Mercy. Looking to fulfil the request, Fr John Barnes had, four years before, seen some of Thomas Denny’s work at nearby Stutton Parish Church where he had created a Millennium window.

Sacred Heart Church's 'Crowning and Warming the Sacred Heart of Southwold' heritage project has been greatly boosted by a National Lottery grant of £210,000 and a grant of £10,000 from Historic England. The grants add significantly to funds already provided by the Parish and the Southwold Trust and will enable the repair and restoration of the church. Parish priest Roger de Lacy-Spencer, said: 'These generous grants will ensure the church can continue to welcome parishioners and visitors'.

Suggest Canons Burditt and Frost and Frs Philpot and Wace for Commission on the division of the [Northampton] Diocese.
Downham Market is an issue on which we must stand - "whatever the personal holiness of Ossie (and God alone is the Judge here), he is corrupting a holy thing - and this is the hidden evil." Unwavering leadership is required. Confront Ossie with the obedience he owes, and, that the Pope has formally specified the circumstances in which the rite may be celebrated.
Tony Sketch should be given Downham market as his charge and say a publicised Mass there.
PPs (Aldeburgh, Wymondham, Felixstowe and Ipswich) make change-over on October 7th.
