Witham, Weld and CoUnsatisfactory situation if the deeds do not cover the line of the planned drain - no easement can be given to Mr & Mrs Clare. Copies of related letters and maps enclosed. Suggests forwarding such Deeds or Abstracts of Title which might "make title" under which the proposed easement is to run.
Witham, Weld and CoRequest to seal plan; engrossment to lease (detailed line of 6 foot fence required by Mr Gurney)
Witham, Weld and CoDeeds are silent on ownership of the wall - an inspection would be needed to help form a conclusion. If the Diocese has maintained the wall for a minimum of 12 years without objection, or seeking permission, then the ownership would be with the Diocese. If the doctors' proposal for the wall are unobjectionable then going to the expense of deciding ownership of boundaries is not justifiable.
Witham, Weld and CoThere are issues with the rules. Rule 2 (ii) should be deleted. A Licence is being prepared which should be sufficient. A registration certificate issued by the Licensing Justices is required. Rules need amending: 1. procedure for money management; 2. temporary members? limit number of guests per member.
Witham, Weld and CoSale concluded.

Witham, Weld and CoCheque received from Canon Hunting; will delay completion until they hear from the Bishop
Witham, Weld and CoMrs Gordon's will left the money to the Archbishop [Arthur Hinsley], hence Canon Mason should not hold the written wishes of the Testatrix, but the Archbishop should as there is no original document in Westminster. Only £500 is to go to Southwold.
Witham, Weld and CoWitham Weld & Co (Joseph Weld) wrote to the Chief Inspector of Taxes for refund of tax for the Presbytery. Deed only refers to the land. Question is what date was it built. Fr Purcell has no record of when the Presbytery was built but thinks it was two years or so after the foundation stone for the church was laid in 1902.
Witham, Weld and CoNoted the proposed transaction. Mr Beavan has confirmed his intention and he has confirmed he will pay all costs.
