Sad that resolutions to support 1967 Abortion Act reform were accepted by the TUC and Labour Party Conference. This law runs contrary to the Preamble of the UN Declaration on the Rights of the Child which was adopted on 20 November 1959. Members of the TUC and the Labour party "... experience, however, a tension between that loyalty and what they recognise to be the law of God on the sanctity of life ... moral issues should be left to the individual conscience."
