Copy of last year's inventory copied from the one in the safe from last year.
I remember the confirmation day; Fr Rudd had arranged a holiday (in Denmark) and the Bp decided to visit but said not to change his holiday. Bp left at 2pm with Fr Rudd leaving at 3pm - must have forgotten the [confirmation] list but will put one before him to send on when he returns.

Bishop says he will need Fr Lloyd's help in Blakeney. Concern about Fr Lloyd's eyesight, his inability to drive a car and possibility of feeling isolated in Blakeney. None of the big parishes can absorb a "curate emeritus".
manuscript ps: Do stay and help Peter Allen in Walsingham. Blakeney does need occupancy. Contact VG when it is known that Peter Murphy is returning to Westminster diocese.

Decision to call a halt is sad and harsh, but, a projected cost of £1.3 million would require the full support of the Bishops in the Catholic community. Hope that the work done is not seen as in vain. Have asked the architect Mr Wingate to consult with Fr Birch on making fit the "Outside Altar" for say £300,000. Despite all this, the Cardinal begged that we must retain "what he loves at Walsingham: its simplicity".
