Mrs Ten Broeck to Bishop Cary-Elwes - Agent gave stamps away, not many left; Thanks for offering to pay on her behalf

Thanks Bishop for kind letter, also for promising to make her payments until she can repay. Her agent has given many of the stamps (Adoration of the Maji) away and she has only 1000 sheets of 16 available to sell. Met Cardinal Gasquet (then Abbot) and he seem interested in them. The proceeds of the sale would be for the March Mission.

(Copy of) Letter to Rt Rev FW Keating from Executor (HT Kingsbury)

Re claim of Bishop against the Estate of Mrs Ten Broeck. Original promise in claim without consideration & letter of Mrs T Broeck of Aug 3rd 1914 not enough to support claim. Estate may be unable to pay legatees so Executors can't pay without it being passed by Court.
