Letter from Superintendent Registrar, John C Woodhouse, re Lakenham Catholic Church. The building being recently opened it is necessary to register it as a place for worship. Until this has been done and used as such for a year then marriages cannot be solemnised there. Complete enclose form, return with fee (2/6d) and structural plans.

Superintendent Registrar (J C Woodhouse) writing to Rev H S Squirrell, that Christ the King, Lakenham is now registered as a "Place of Meeting for Worship" and enclosing Certificate.

Mgr Provost Freeland requested Fire Insurance for "Chapel at Lakenham"; cover being from 1-12-1933 to 25-12-1934. £3.0.9 is due. The agent, R T Cook, advises the cheque for the premium is to be £2-11-9 having deducted his fee of 15% i.e. 9/- .

Thanking for the agreement to sell the 3 ft strip of land for £15 and accepting that he will meet costs for lawyer and setting fence back. Instructed his lawyer to take it forward. This enables him to build his warehouse. "a great kindness".

Letter to Waslingham Association branch officers about fundraising for Walsingham. This is an event organised by the Norwich Branch and is the world premier of a comedy "A Happy Event". Profits to go towards Walsingham developments. The Duke of Norfolk and Bishop Alan Clark have given their support, recipients are invited to do the same. Enclosed leaflet [not present] gives booking details.

Confirmation of existing convert. Bishop presumes that the priest receiving her did not follow the inbuilt rite of including Confirmation in the rite of Reception. Not normally delegated to priests. Except for urgency. Too late for tomorrow's Confirmation at St George's, Norwich. Bishop sets considerable store on the public administration of the Sacrament.
