Press release about Pope's visit in 1982 [not present] to be released on 31 August at noon. The minutes of the Standing Committee of the Bishop's Conference (Monday 14 July 1980) mentioned a possible visit - see no 13 of that document. Has consulted with Scottish Bishops, Balmoral, No 10, Foreign Office and Lambeth Palace, all has gone well. Keep this confidential and let the Archbishop have the task of communicating in public, if necessary.

Slipper Chapel Window - Three designs from Paul Quail; replace east window and refit it in a new position
