He describes the situation as contrary to principles establish in church doctrine. Would the Bishop send them the information requested?

[in French] Fr Allen is aware that the Bishop of Tarbes [Tarbes-et-Lourdes] [Henri Clément Victor Donze ] is to attend the National Anglican Pilgrimage to Walsingham with his friend the Anglican Bishop of London [Graham Douglas Leonard]. He extends an invitation to visit the Catholic Shrine during the visit. Fr Allen would be weighted to arrange for the Bishop to say Mass at the Slipper Chapel or the Chapel of Reconciliation.

Slipper Chapel, being in use for ecclesiastical purpose is excluded from the operation of the Ancient Monument Act, hence this department has no control over it of any kind. Delay in replying was due to the original answer being sent to the wrong Geoffrey Webb (of Royal Commission for Historical Monuments).

HCC has refused permission for removal and re-siting of the Webb window, but allow the Fisher design in another window.
Has photocopied a number of the images provided earlier. Notes that City of London Churches were all designed for clear crown glass and hence is not attracted to the technique of suspending stained glass in window openings. Finishes with ".. hope that all will go well with the window at Sherborne following the controversy over the removal of its predecessor!"
