Mr Dodds , Clerk of the Council and Secretary of the Friends Meeting Society (who are selling the chapel - valued at £250) showed him around and admitted no repairs done for 17 years. Smith, Peter David Gordon Rev LLB JCD (1943-2020)Responding to Julie C Bell, the Bishop acknowledges that the diocese must commit to its mission to care for the elderly, accessing whatever material help there is. He has directed Fr Peter Wilson to set up a Diocesan Commission to liaise with Social Services and address care of the elderly. He is impressed by the happiness of those in sheltered housing, but wonders whether the specific provision of a Diocesan Home would be appropriate given resources, etc. He thanks her for reminding him of "our overall commitments". The CWL have a house in Ipswich (St Anne's House, Burrington Street) which would be worth investigating.
