"SPECIAL PROTECTION has been given to a church in rural Suffolk that until recently was cared for by the Benedictines of Downside Abbey. St Benet's Minster, Beccles, has been listed as Grade II* by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The listing, announced on 19 January by Historic England, means that the church is now protected, and will be eligible for government grants." Story continues

"The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has backed a campaign to help save a Catholic church roof by signing one of the slates which will form part of the roof repair. St Mary's church in Yarmouth is currently offering an opportunity to 'Sponsor a Slate' as part of essential work to replace concrete tiles on the church roof. When someone sponsors a slate for £10, they can add a message that will be written in white permanent marker pen and placed on the roof." Story continues.

"Catholic priest who spent more than five weeks in critical care at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn after contracting Covid-19 has praised the efforts of doctors and nurses. as well as two church ministers, for helping him to pull through. Fr Michael Stack from Coventry died twice and was on a ventilator for three weeks and in critical care for five weeks before he miraculously pulled through, astonishing the medical team with his recovery." Morris, Keith"Prameel Joseph from St Luke's in Peterborough has fulfilled a calling he has felt for many years after he was ordained to the diaconate by Bishop Alan Hopes at St John's Cathedral. When he was younger, Prameel, who is from India, joined the Rosminian Fathers religious congregation. During a discerrnent at the end of two years, however, it became clear the Prameel was called to live his vocation in married life." Story continues.
