1 wooden box, hinged lid, lock [no key present]. Slot in lid. Two fixing holes in the rear of box.
Base has lettering "KISTN.." indicating the wood is from a commodity delivery box/chest (tea or otherwise).

box: lid detatched; hinges broken; leather handle broken; replaced by green cord ; painted wording on top "Cathedral of St Mary & St Thomas / Northampton".
jugs: pear shaped, no handle, spout, stopper, symmetrical about vertical axis; stopper & jug engraved with a letter (A, B or I) below spout for jug, on top and side for stopper. All jugs show some signs of a little denting.

"At the end of May [1948] steps were taken to form a branch of the CWL. Twenty ladies attended the inaugural meeting which was addressed by Mrs Rope of the Ipswich branch. The priest at Woodbridge at this time was Father (later Canon) Thomson. When Father Nicholson was at Woodbridge he had founded the @St Thomas Guild' as there were insufficient numbers for CWL branch."
