The pope's visit to Walsingham has prompted her to provide the Bishop with a short correspondence between her and Lady Christobel Piggot from 1959. She hopes that the pope with speak on "Home and Family" which would help the country and parents with good family life. She met the Bishop in 1971 when he showed her around the Cathedral [sic] in Norwich. Now too old and infirm to organise parish pilgrimage's to Walsingham and offers the letters in case they may be of some support to the Bishop.

St-John Stevas claims the Pope intends to visit Walsingham. Fr Birch would like the Pope to be told about the ecumenical activities at the Shrine. He would like an audience with the Pope to present him with a plaque (pewter with ivory decoration) twinning Walsingham with Czestochowa in 1936 or 1949; and, to explain the history of origin of Walsingham.
