Enclosed Cheque for £1000 being sale price of March Presbytery & land. Asks him to send cheque to Ollard. Thinks Canon forgot to tell Ollard about sending money to him. Found by chance that new presbytery being built. Money came promptly when Fr Clare told off.

Ollard away so has no time to see to Diocesan business. Neighbour would have bought property at high price but commercial restrictions against him building the shop he intended. He is sending another man to see Ollard about buying.

Bishop & Fr Allen had several hours before American Consul re Mrs T. Broeck's promise to pay £125/yr to March for 5 yrs. Her original letter (3 Aug 1914) asking him to pay rest of instalments not found but American court has copy of it & his reply. Request urgent search at Northampton for the original; wire status and send letter by registered mail immediately! Depositions being despatched to America on Saturday...

His action on cheques to Ollard. The stained glass windows arrived yesterday but no candlesticks. Fear they must have been sold at the Sale. What a nuisance! Thanks for congrats on anniversary of consecration, wishes someone else had had the honour.
