Surrogate's Court, NY, USAPostcard showing March Church with a cleric stood by doorway. It is possible to make out the word "Allen" on the last line of the noticeboard - perhaps it is Fr Louis Allen in the image.
UnknownSends cheque to be divided between Sunday School & Altar Society. Assessment of her property is lower than expected & money for Church will be delayed. Fears the Lord does not permit her the honour of giving Him a Home.

Ten Broeck, Mary O Mrs (1834 - 1919)She sends the cheque which was due on March 28th. Relates difficulties in getting money. Trusts delay will not recur but regrets prospect of her being able to do as she hoped about a Church seems fading as assessment on her property will take most of money.

Bishop's Comments "Sent to Harrington 1922"
Responding to Fr Flanagan's letter of 22-3-1936. The donation of £25 was placed in the joint account (names of Fr Allen, Fr Clare, Bishop Cary-Elwes), which was closed on 11-1-1936 and finds passed to the Bishop. Insinuations expressed in the letter - demands names of those who witnessed them being made.
Writing from Thornton College.
Cathedraticum [annual payment to Bishop] cheque enclosed [not present. £2.10 from Frs Page, Allen, Ketterer, Rigby & Eeles.
manuscript annotation: "Sent receipt. Asked if Fr Flynn and Drage turned up"
Cheque for £2.10 being the Cathedraticum from Fr Rigby, Fr Ketterer, Fr Allen, Fr Page & Canon Eeles. Other claim exemption. Discusses arrangements for masses especially when the doctor considers he can do low masses but is concerned about the long fast - perhaps the Canon could take some liquid nourishment between masses. Fr Flynn was looking well today at the conference. Absentees were Fr Page (with a chill), Fr Allen ( Children's Entertainment) & Fr Drage.
Eeles, Charles Rev (1868-1926)Rev Louis Allen - annotated "The little Bishop"
Outlines the arrangements for Friday's funeral. Draws a parallel with the funeral of Fr Wrigglesworth when he made arrangements and said mass. Suggests Bishop should stay overnight in Peterborough and then bring Fr Allen, who will be the MC. Fr Ketterer needs to be eased into his new role - suggests that he take on Wisbech for the moment. At Canon Eeles' suggestion a will was written and this will be attended to in due course.
manuscript annotation: "All agreed to. Yes to Peterborough on Thursday for night, will bring Fr Allen along too. Friday a.m."
The recent pastoral letter about the priest being a catechist is causing Fr Stokes concerns. He has asked the sisters to take two catechism classes for him. It has been working well with good results. This parish, being smaller than, say, Norwich has not the resources to undertake the role of catechist as the bishop has ruled.
Fr Page, despite being well supported by Fr Allen and Fr Rudderham, is not holding it together.
