Responding to Fr Flanagan's letter of 22-3-1936. The donation of £25 was placed in the joint account (names of Fr Allen, Fr Clare, Bishop Cary-Elwes), which was closed on 11-1-1936 and finds passed to the Bishop. Insinuations expressed in the letter - demands names of those who witnessed them being made.

Assured him of no urgency re papers Bishop sent him. He has no idea of size of Estate or amount of legacies. Has cabled partner to contact Couderts Bros & enter formal appearances in proceedings on behalf of Bishop & Fr Allen.
Harrington, Bigham & EnglarRe Mrs Ten Broeck. Gives details of her payments & debts to diocese. Presumes it will be alright to say original agreement was made with him although he has no proof of it. He can find no letters referring to payments earlier than December 1912.

Tonks, Joseph Rev (1863-1943)Thanks him for Christmas letter with news of Bishop's visit. Had hoped to send money. When war is over hopes dividends will come in. He & Bishop must be glad to offer Mass to Belgian refugees. Expresses interest in all the news she has had of March & surrounding area.
