Covering letter for the Quinquennial inspection report on Church and Presbytery, North Everard St, King's Lynn.
It identifies items needing attention on Church & Presbytery in the first year.

Following an inspection visit, the company propose a crack monitoring exercise of 6-weekly measurements at monitoring points for a 12 month period. Charges for the work are proposed.

Measurement reports attached for period of April 2005 to February 2006. Findings: no significant movement, if at all; the church leans both towards London Road and towards the corner with the bell tower; the Church floor has a significant fall from the side porch towards the road and into the corner under the bell tower. Conclusion: the church has settled and rotated and is likely to continue in the future. The building may be safely used, Poor bearing stratum is the major factor. Recommendations: consider underpinning; continue to monitor, leave the monitoring discs in place.

Noted that Fr David Finegan is the new Dean. Provides a summary of the activities in the Parish. A paragraph on the joys and sorrows in his holiday in India. All in all the holiday was worth it.

Recommends Fr David Finegan for the new Dean

Feast of the Assumption Mass was celebrated at North Creake Abbey on 15 August at 4pm. Fr Finegan gave permission. A parishioner's history is attached along with a newspaper cutting. Included a copy of his new small book for the Advent Season
