Since the Bishop is unavailable to come and commission them before Easter he has asked Harry Wace to do this important job, with the Bishop's permission.

Unable to attend the Deanery meeting on 17 November. His duties as Chaplain to the High Sheriff of Norwich (elect) require him to be at the Anglican Cathedral and the courts. The Bishop has given his approval for this role. Has time come to elect/appoint a Vice Dean. ..."could well be discussed more freely when I am away... on my onerous civic duties."

Fr Farrell informing Miss Scarfe that her date of retirement will be 30 June 1983. Thanks her for her devoted service to the late Fr Chapman especially during his many periods of sickness and final death. The parish's financial situation means that retaining a priest's housekeeper is not possible. Thanks her for her assistance in the short time he has been in the parish.
