Daughter allocated to John Leman school, Beccles, after passing examinations for entrance to a Grammar School. Contacted Chief Education Officer that their preferred school was St Mary's, Lowestoft. Following a means test she has to pay all fees but travelling fares are met by the committee and part of meal costs was offered. Are she being treated fairly?

Petition from priests within the Diocese. The ordering of the Mass in the vernacular makes the prior use of the Latin Mass seem "something shameful". Sets out an argument for being given permission to say Mass before a congregation, including that the majority of the laity want to adore and less to be taught when at Mass.

Mr C Fisher, co-opted member, to move a motion regarding accommodation for the sick in Walsingham. Three paragraphs describing the background: Oddfellows Hall originally bought (via Gp. Cpt. Cheshire) as a Transit Hospital for sick pilgrims. Bp Parker insisted the Diocese take over the Hall and make provision instead of lay people. Some 4 or 5 years after Bp Clark requested this to happen, nothing has.

Bishop approves tall window; now accommodated 200 people; cost within £6,000. Planning authority's adverse comments on previous design necessitated a complete re-design. Bishop has seen these and approved. Laying of Foundation Stone: September 21st or 22nd. The inscription can be in English or Latin - please let us know what you want as soon as you can.

Drawings enclosed for new design as approved by the Bishop. Planning authority comments necessitated a complete re-design also approved by the Bishop. Will now seat 200 people; have approached Dawnays re steelwork & substructure; raft structure deemed best but if you have different view get in touch soon.
