Part of Walsingham Shrine

Mr G Webb is making a window for Slipper Chapel, Walsingham. Stated that the chapel is excluded from the Ancient Monuments Act, however, notices have been served on the Bishop that churches have been scheduled under the Town & Country Planning Act 1947, Section 7.
The Bishop explains that work needs to be done to preserve the buildings and render them useful. Asks for an "interview" to discuss the proposals for work.

Note that the Bishop does not consider such help as a permanent feature of Walsingham finances. The place must run on its income. The Bishop will not authorise improvements on the house as such requests will be approved, or not, by the Finance Board.

Mr C Fisher, co-opted member, to move a motion regarding accommodation for the sick in Walsingham. Three paragraphs describing the background: Oddfellows Hall originally bought (via Gp. Cpt. Cheshire) as a Transit Hospital for sick pilgrims. Bp Parker insisted the Diocese take over the Hall and make provision instead of lay people. Some 4 or 5 years after Bp Clark requested this to happen, nothing has.

Need to get title in order. Diocesan Trust Deed is dated 30 April 1949, this land was bought after this date but not under the deed for reasons unknown, so the corporation is not the owner of the property.
Conveyance on 30 June 1949 is to Bishop Parker, Bishop Rudderham, Canon Burdit and Father Pritchard. Need precise dates of death. Then establish that the property is held on the trusts of the Diocesan Trust Deed.
