An American who has been cutting the grass in the meadow. etc. is leaving, Mr Hall has a bad heart. Mr Pegg is willing to help as a groundsman and odd job man for a regular wage. Will take him on if the Bishop does not object. £189-10-6d for fence work on Wells Rd field. Requests absence and Fr Guardian at East Bergholt is considered as a supply.

Going to Lourdes via Cathedral Tours. Miss Mary Garson left today and will move in on March 8th; she is willing to pay the rates and running repairs to the property. She will be contacting the Bishop about a name for the house. Builder and plumber are estimating the work to be done.

Celebret requested for trip to Lourdes- supply requested from East Bergholt. Mortgage due on a Blakeney property, then chapel and ground will be given to the Diocese outright. Mr Hoy has the Oddfellows Hall document; Bishops clause raised with him. How to make an entry in the registered for a baptised adopted child and what goes on the certificate? Thanks for help in obtaining the loud speaker system being given by Canon Malone. Written to Fr Hignett as suggested. Glad to hear the Bishop and Bishop Cunningham are coming to Walsingham in July. Successful vigil pilgrimage held.

Thanks for information on Cathedral Fund. Contacted Canon Hunting re £148 and Bishop's suggestions. £950 Oddfellows Hall debt. Hostel sums: £3,639 (capital) and £4194 (maintenance). House is being paid for out of current money. Work on this house draws to a close.

Thanks for authority to borrow from Fr Hacon for Blakeney. Have paid out £1948-18-4 (including some furniture) - owe builder £700 which will be borrowed from Fr Hacon. Extra windows and six heaters expected to be less than £250. Architect's bill expected to be £100. Benches to cost £100 (but already promised this). Will pay remaining £350 out of income.

Will not disturb the Bishop whilst he is at Ushaw. Fr Seahill left on Monday 22 July; Fr Ikegwuenu is helping currently; a holiday priest is arranged; need help from 18 Sept to 14 Oct. Bishop to arrive at Walsingham on Aug 17 and stay until 20th. Been in contact with Mr Hyes, a local solicitor, regarding a water pipe and a Wells property.
