Fr Dobson not celebrating Mass at St Cecilia's (current attendance 75-100) requires arrangements for supply: Canon David Ryan (retired) will celebrate Sunday 9.30am Mass when he can; perhaps Marist fathers at Walsingham; or Fr Brian O'Reilly (Massingham) might assist. Failing that Deacon Matthews will offer a Eucharistic service with a ciborium filled with reserved Sacrament. .

Asks the Bishop (or the Dean?) to commission a new Communion Minster, to offset the loss of others, he needs more than one.

Writing from Downside - retreat finished, returning to Beccles. Renewal of St Benet's fabric is finished; the Abbot is concerned about the money from the Banham Fund, told that the Bishop is onto it. Petition for the marriage between Dr Christopher Helsham and Mollie (no second name) Mickleborough (prepared by the nuns and himself) ; she will be received into the church at once and have her First Communion on Dec 8th.

At St Neots the Bishop did not look well - have a couple of days at the [Hunstanton] seaside to restore you. 3 favours: granting of faculties to Rev Stephen Sproule CSSR who is coming to give a course of instruction; dispensation for an old woman regarding Eucharist; one of the Sisters is troubled with operations and needs medicine during the night, or a cup of tea - a dispensation for her too. Quite hard-up and would welcome any Mass Intentions that the Bishop may have.

            Part of Walsingham Shrine

Student Cross pilgrimage to Walsingham. Easter celebration will have Anglican Eucharist (to which the Catholics have been invited) and a Catholic Midnight Mass (to which the Anglicans are invited). Unfortunately Good Friday may involve a single service at which both Anglican and Catholic forms of Eucharist are offered (at either end of the church). Parish priest cannot authorise this - so he is asking for the Bishop's approval and authorisation.

Last year the question of Special Ministers of Holy Communion arose - but not addressed. In August & September Fr O'Toole was incapacitated with torn ligaments and the need for these ministers became more relevant. Could Bishop come and commission them? Possibly before 1st April because of the special Mass to dedicate all those parishioners engaged in supporting roles in the Church. Would like Communion from the Chalice.
This event will be a stepping stone for Norwich on 16th May.
