            Back for a couple of weeks, just thought about thanking the bishop for coming to King's Lynn for Confirmations on September 11th. Glad that the Diocesan Medal was given to Mrs Louis Smith - despite mix-up on dates and times. Now packing up and tidying up.

            Motto bar - suspended beneath the shield
            The shield was created for the first Bishop Alan Clarke with the intention of showing St John's was now a Cathedral not just a parish church. Believed to have been made an artist friend of Bishop Alan’s, Cecilia [?] Green. Positioned on the back of Bishop's wooden chair in SJB Cathedral until the new stone Cathedra was completed.
