Fr Richmond is having his 40th Ordination celebrations at Burnham Market on 19 March - concelebrated Mass followed by buffet at Hoste Arms across The Green. Bishop is invited (but it is noted that he is in Walsingham on that day).

Liturgically speaking, is not the National Shrine of Our Lady 'Neutral' Ground, so that every Bishop of England and Wales could feel he has the right to use his crozier in liturgical celebrations here? ... in a large concelebration only the principal would use his crozier, as is the usual pattern"

75th Anniversary of the opening of the parish and 100th anniversary of the parish. Fr p Duffy (sic) [Duff] came to live here in February 1876. Inviting the bishop to be a celebrant at the mass. Church was built by the generous Mr C Temple Layton. Large hole under 12th station of the cross is planned to be filled with a commemorative plaque.
Be glad to see the Bishop on Friday 4th and will reschedule Mass to 12.30pm

"Fr Paul Hyper marked an impressive 60 years of priestly ministry with a celebratory Mass and party at the church of Sacred Heart and St Oswald in Peterborough on 23rd July. Fr Paul was ordained on 22nd July 1962, in St Ethelbert's Church in Slough, by Bishop Leo Parker of Northampton, having been in seminary in Innsbruck for the previous six years." Story continues.

Shryane, Anthony RevHoliday with Dr Sexton in Dublin for the Emancipation celebrations. Needs faculties for his supply and a celebret for himself. There has been much confusion for a long time between the two churches named "St Mary's" in King's Lynn. Asks if he can change the church's name to "Our Lady of the Annunciation". Pilgrimage was great success - record crowds of priests and people, despite some priests deciding not to inform their people.
