Has been in contact with Fr Liam Crowley. The Provincial Council projections seem good for Bretton. Agree that if they want to then Liam and Arnold can stay where they are. Cannot commit any more resources e.g. to Our Lady of Lourdes. Not always able to match me to jobs and vice versa. Uncertain about Paddy Smyth and Liam Crowley working together.
Wishes the bishop's time in hospital will be successful. Cathedral repairs mentioned by the bishop - will ask Fr Tim Ryan at the American base to make an appeal. Suggestion that he could help Fr Smith at Bretton now that Fr Arnold has left for Great Missenden.
