"Fr Anthony Foreman, a retired diocesan priest, has published a book on the intriguing medieval history of Lidgate, the Suffolk village where he lives. Lidgate, which is in the Newmarket parish, boasts the remains of a Roman villa, a Norman castle and was the birthplace of John de Lydgate, the famous medieval poet and monk of Bury Abbey. If one substitutes for "relationship" the word "communion" - then could have said: every Christian is in a real (though sometimes imperfect) communion with the Roman Catholic Church. One could say same thing not only about individual separated brethren but about their "churches or ecclesial communities". cf "The Theology of Vatican II' pp 124-134.
