Born Yorkshire 5 May 1910; 1932 he entered St Stephen's House, Oxford; 1934 ordained Anglican priest; 1936 become a Catholic and was received into the Church at Downside Abbey. Studied at the Beda College as a student for the Archdiocese of Westminster and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1940. A curate for four years in Lower Edmonton, and joined the staff of Westminster Cathedral in 1944. In 1950, he became Chaplain to the Catholic students of London University and in 1954 was recalled to Westminster as Cathedral Administrator. 1964 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Middlesbrough. Translated to the Diocese of Leeds in 1966, to succeed George Patrick Dwyer, and became the seventh Bishop of Leeds.
died Leeds 20 February 1998.

Graham Douglas Leonard KCVO (8 May 1921 – 6 January 2010) was an English Roman Catholic priest and former Anglican bishop. He was a Bishop of London but, after his retirement, he became a Roman Catholic. He was conditionally ordained to the priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church and was later appointed a Monsignor by Pope John Paul II.
