Returned from Canberra, Australia, after heading up the Vatican delegation for VII Assembly of the World Council of Churches - chaotic but epic. Thanks the Cardinal for his leadership in the debate on the Gulf Crisis.
Francis Selman: happy for the Cardinal to see him (provides a short pen picture) - thought he had settled at Quidenham - but that is obviously not the case.
Fr Andrew Morley at Dersingham: Asks the Cardinal to withdraw him as he has caused offence and gone to the provincial press.

Requesting the financial position with the Walsingham Account. So much to be done and the outside altar cries out for some degree of completion.

Two items from Executive meeting to discuss. First lack of progress with Walsingham Trust. Second the Accountants report on the book-keeping system.

Page from the middle of an exercise book. Accounts for Fr Irwin's supply at "Aldeburgh cum Leiston" from 12 August to 16 September 1923. Includes sum of £7 requested by Fr Irwin for supply. Also "Charwoman for scrubbing down house on Aug 6, 7, 8th - 13/6d.
Canon Peacock owed £9.1.2 1/2 [presumably from the Bishop?]. "Accounts sent herewith... 26 September 1923." [to Canon Tonks?]

Receipt for cheque (£11.1.3) received regarding supply work done by Fr H Irwin at Aldeburgh. The account includes 10/- a week for the housekeeper.

Bishop asked Canon Peacock to check out monies paid by the Ursuline Nuns in 1919 and subsequent payments associated with that. The workings are split between Aldeburgh and Leiston and cover the period from 13 December 1919 to 10 September 1922.
