              Heavy metal (pewter?) containers with screw caps. Each cap has a single engraved letter: "I", "C", "B".
              Each container has engraved letters on one face: 1. "O. INFIRM", 2. "St. CHRISMA, 3. "O. CATECH"
              In each face is a verticle slot through which can be seen the glass container. Container "B"'s glass is cracked.

              "Universis praesentes litteras inpsecturis fidem favcio, ac testor me imaginem vultus domini nostri jesu christi as instar sanctissimi sudarii veroonica in tela albi coloris impressam altitudinis unc latitudinis unc reverenter applicasse eidem sudario, nec non ligno vivificae crucis et lanceae dominicae cuspidi, quae in praedicta nostra basilica religiosis sime asservantur ac pluribus summorum pontificum diplomatibus, maximaque popularum veneratione clebrantur. In quorum fidem praedicateam imaginem, et has praesentes litteras meo sigillo obsignavi et subscripsi." translates as "I support the faith of all the present letters of inspection, and I testify that the image of the face of our Lord Jesus Christ, like the most holy Veronica shroud, printed in a white cloth of height and breadth, was reverently applied to the same shroud, and also to the wood of the living cross and the lance of the Lord's spire, which are in our aforesaid basilica they are held in high esteem by the religious, and are celebrated with the greatest veneration of the people, with the diplomas of several high pontiffs. In whose faith I have placed my predicate, and these present letters, I have sealed and subscribed with my seal."
